Heads up! We’re going mobile for our August CircleSing!
We’re taking to the road (and the air!) this month. Join us for our annual outing to Studio 12 to sing with UpSwing Aerial Dance Company at their Improv Night open house. We’ve been doing this for years, and it’s a lot of fun!
You already enjoy the improvised monthly circles, right? Well, this one has an added wrinkle: we’ll be responding in song to some simple cues and to whatever the dancers happen to be doing – in mid-air! Dave Worm will lead the group, and we’ll have instrumental backup from Sahib Amar Kaur & Amar Singh, Noah Thorpe, and more . . .
We’ll gather a little earlier than usual (6:30 PM at Studio 12 in Berkeley), find out what the dancers are planning, and start singing at 7. A pot-luck feast will follow the show, so do plan to stay and socialize, and bring something tasty to share.
Need a ride? We’ve organized a car-pool from our usual spot at First Congregational Church of Oakland (27th & Harrison Streets, across from Whole Foods).
